The release of Aafia would further increase the credibility of the present government.
Will also improve the tattered human rights record of the United States of America.
Karachi, August 21: Aafia Movement Pakistan leader Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has hoped that the government of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would be successful in winning the release and repatriation of Dr Aafia Siddiqui soon, which is also the unanimous demand of whole Pakistani nation.
In a statement here Wednesday, she said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government is serious to solve the issue of Dr Aafia Siddiqui amicably and also taking efforts on different platforms to ensure early repatriation of the daughter of the nation. She said today she has a meeting with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali in Islamabad to discuss Aafia’s repatriation.
She said despite many serious challenges faced to his government Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has not forgotten the daughter of the nation. She said the last government betrayed the cause of Aaifa and the nation also rejected it; however, the sitting government is fully committed to this matter pertaining to the national honor. She hoped that Mian Nawaz Sharif would fulfill his promise regarding Aafia release. She said he had already said that for him Dr Aafia is like his own daughter Maryam.

She said this is a serious violation of all human rights, especially the rights of children, mothers and families. She said despite braving the worst atrocities the spirits of Dr Aafia are still high.
