No chance of justice for Aafia: Gravel
ISLAMABAD: Former American Senator Mike Gravel has said that Dr Aafia will never get justice in the prevalent American system. Dr.Aafia’s council is saddened by the fact that killer Ramon Davis was pardoned in Pakistan but her innocent client is suffering in America.
Mike gravel, who came to Pakistan for the release of Afia Siddiqui, met President Supreme Court Bar Association Yasin Azad, to discuss legal matters in this regard. Talking to the media after the meeting the Senator said that Dr.Afia’s extradition and detention in America was illegal. On the occasion Yasin Azad said that America should consider the matter on humanitarian grounds and a letter for Afia’s release will be written to the president and PM of Pakistan.
Dr.Afia’s council in America Tina Foster thinks that the Pakistani Doctor did not get a fair trial in America. –Agencies
