Burma a country mainly followers of the ancient Budhist faith today is a focus for inhumane genocide of Muslims. Budhism is a faith that practices peace and No violence. The famous Quote of Dalai Lama “our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you cant help them, at least don’t hurt them!” was reminded today at

Seminar organized by Aafia Movement Pakistan, held in Karachi press Club 8th August 2012.
Speakers and delegates at the Seminar passed a unanimous resolution demanding immediate halt of the Muslim Genocide going on for the past month. The appeal addressed the Ambassador of Burma to convey the unified message of all political religious and social parties who have gathered today in solidarity for this pure humanitarian cause. The president of Burma should order immediate ceasefire and Budhist Dalai lama should intervene and remind their people of the teachings of the great Budha.
A heart rending film was shown which left everyone present in tears. Program Host Dr. Fowzia emphasized the need for unity amongst us if we are to survive, our own country, families are affected, Baluchistan is burning, Karachi is targeted, Punjab with the worst energy crisis; khaiber pakhtoon Khwa echoing in bomb blasts. We as a nation disintegrating and dividing. This is a wake-up call, God Forbid this wave of oppression engulfs us too. Already Baluchistan is suffering similar faith. Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity.
The Seminar was presided by famous writer and respected Fatima Surraya Bajia. And hosted by Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui and professor Saleem Mughal of Aafia Movement; Minister Haleem Adil Shaikh, MQMs Muzammil Quraishi and Nadia Gabol, PPPs Shermila Farooqi, and Imtiaz Shaikh, Fareed Ansari; JI’s Muhammad Hussain Mehanti, PTI’s Mrs. Farooq, JUI M. Usman Yar Khan, JUP Shabbir Abu Talib, PML n Nihal Hashmi; JUI f Qari M. Osman, Justice r. Rasheed A Rizvi; were among the speakers and distinguished guests. The Seminar was attended by dignitaries of all walks of life.
