Shoes Thrown at Gen. Musharraf for Selling Dr Aafia

LONDON: Shoes were hurled at former president Pervez Musharraf during his address to a gathering here on Sunday. According to TV channel reports, Musharraf was speaking about his rule when a man, followed by another, hurled shoes at him which did not hit him. The men were raising slogans in favour of Dr Aafia Siddiqi. The guards overpowered the two and took them out of the hall. One of them alleged that he was thrashed by the guards. Musharraf reacted angrily at the incident, saying had the men reached him, he would have smashed their faces
